Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager (the conductor if you will) has a view of all work for the clients that they are assigned to so that they can effectively advise on and coordinate the delivery of projects from start to finish, ensuring teams come together to deliver on time while meeting creative, budgetary and technical requirements. They connect the dots, manage resources and timelines and ensure that everything is working together holistically.

Core Duties

  • Evaluate project parameters and information to determine team needs and best path to completion.
  • Advise on how best to approach projects based on client, budget and deadlines.
  • Build, track and manage schedules to ensure internal and client deadlines are met.
  • Attend client meetings, when necessary, to lend expertise to more complex projects or campaigns and assist with everyday project management where applicable (depending on the client).
  • Schedule project huddles, kick-off meetings, internal reviews, regroups and any necessary touch-base meetings.
  • Record notes to capture key meeting takeaways, documenting next steps for the team to ensure everyone is clear on responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and third-party resources, making sure the right stakeholders are present in meetings, to move projects to completion.
  • Work with vendor partners/resources to purchase outside resources such as printing, premiums, stock photography, QR codes, etc. This includes obtaining estimates, sending purchase orders, managing proof approvals, attending press checks, when necessary, problem solving, maintaining vendor relationships and sourcing new vendor partners as necessary.
  • Utilize project management systems (Basecamp, FileMaker and Trello) to facilitate the workflow of digital projects and assist other team members on how to use the platforms.
  • Learn and understand the nuances of the food industry as well as all JT Mega clients.

Desired Experience

  • Advertising agency experience desired
  • 10+ years of related project management experience
  • Ability to clearly define next steps and desired behaviors
  • Solid problem-solving skills, and ability to juggle many projects and elements at once
  • Strong team player with great interpersonal skills; ability to work with multiple personalities, motivate, encourage and educate team members on best practices.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of digital and media projects
  • Willingness to continually learn, receive feedback, and strive for high standards
