Traffic/Media Coordinator

Description

The Traffic/Media Coordinator supports the Media and Project Management teams by managing the accurate and efficient execution, trafficking, deployment, and reconciliation of paid media units.

Core Duties

  • Based on approved media plans, create internal media authorizations (detailed in next bullet), create insertion orders/send to media partners
  • Manage client-specific spreadsheets that track media authorizations and due dates, ensuring teams are aware of upcoming due dates by providing a “hot list”, ensuring teams have enough lead time to create media tactics
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure teams understand specifications and that they understand the unit(s) and how they work
  • Manage media specs by maintaining a current master database of contacts, media kits, unit sizes and examples and file formats
  • Upon approval of media tactics, collect files, verify they meet requirements, set up tracking (via UTM links or pixels) and traffic materials to media partners
  • Manage proof approvals as they come through from media partners and, in some cases, make minor adjustments in Photoshop or InDesign with the approval of the Art Director
  • Verify media units are running correctly, as planned
  • Gather and store media metrics for further analyzing
  • Assist the Accounting team with the reconciliation of invoices against media spend

Desired Experience

  • Previous traffic manager, media or project management experience or similar
  • Extremely proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, comfortable with numbers and calculations
  • Willingness to learn new software platforms
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) a plus
  • 1-2 years of agency experience a plus
