We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations with a primary focus on accounts payable, expense management, and client billing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working through complex details, and ensuring financial accuracy across multiple processes.

Core Duties
- Assist with accounts payable tasks including onboarding new vendors, entering vendor invoices, processing weekly vendor payments, year-end 1099 reporting and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Assist to generate and distribute monthly billing worksheets and client invoices for assigned client accounts.
- Assist with expense program including employee expense reporting and reimbursement.
- Collect missing receipts, and post transactions through our third-party credit card solution.
- Review incoming expenses for sales and use tax accruals, reconcile monthly accruals, and submit filing and payment to MN Department of Revenue.
- Provide backup and support for other Accounting department team members as needed.
Desired Experience
- Two or four-year college degree, accounting degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years general accounting experience, with minimum of 1 year of accounts payable experience
- QuickBooks experience is preferred
- Strong computer aptitude, with proficiency in Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
