We’re looking for individuals who might consider themselves to be a swiss army knife of sorts (freelancers located in Minneapolis): WordPress developers who can get things done efficiently, like to experiment with new tools, and are willing to dive in and learn new skills as needed.

Core Duties
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring fast performance and responsive design across numerous browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with designers, editors, project managers and other team members to implement website features and functionalities.
- Customize and extend WordPress themes, Gutenberg blocks, and plugins as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance, security, and user experience.
- Work with a variety of hosting solutions and partners to troubleshoot server errors/configurations.
- Dive into other website platforms as needed (examples: LeadPages, Salesforce, Hubspot, Shopify, Squarespace/Wix, etc.).
- Translate email layout design to HTML code.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in web development.
Desired Experience
- Local to Minneapolis/St. Paul – may need to come in to the office for meetings.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of past projects.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience with custom themes, Gutenberg block, and plugin development.
- Experience working with staging/production environments, as well as a variety of deployment processes.
- Strong working knowledge of version control systems, primarily GitHub.
- Comfortable translating design mockups to working layouts in the Gutenberg Block Editor.
- Proficient with WYSIWYG layout editors/builders (Elementor, MailChimp, etc.)
- Knowledge of website performance optimization and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite, primarily XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Apple/Mac user preferred
- Familiarity with React.
- Knowledge of SEO and basic accessibility best practices.
- Familiar with best practices for Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Google Search Console’s Core Web Vitals.
